Mike Jackson

For nearly two decades Mike Jackson has been writing, teaching and designing shows for some of the most nationally recognized percussion programs in California. These include the two-time WGI World Champions Mission Viejo HS & Riverside Community College, as well as the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps.

Mike started his drum corps career with the 1988 Velvet Knights. He then moved on to march Suncoast Sound, and eventually aged out with the 1992 Blue Knights under Ralph Hardimon. Mike is currently the Percussion Caption Head for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps.

Mike is a co-founder and current board member for the Southern California Percussion Alliance (SCPA). He also sits on the Board of Directors for Winter Guard International (WGI).

Mike currently resides in Orange County, CA with his wife Jenny and their two children, Nicolas & Mallory.

Mike proudly uses Evans Drumheads, Zildjian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks/Mallets & Premier Percussion.
